- Why add a watermark to a PDF?
- To mark a document before signing, protect a layout from being used without payment or show that it is a copy. The text is visible on every page when viewing and printing.
- Can the watermark be removed later?
- It becomes part of the page and can no longer be removed with standard tools. Keep the original separately.
- Will a logo with a transparent background work?
- Yes, a PNG with transparency looks best: only the mark itself remains without a white rectangle.
- Is it free and without registration?
- Yes. No accounts, no limits on the number of files and no watermarks on the result. There is one limit: browser memory; on a regular laptop that means files up to 200-300 MB.
- Where does my file go?
- Nowhere. The page loads a processing module into the browser, and from then on it runs on your device. The file is not sent to a server; nobody sees it or stores it. You can turn off the internet after opening the page and the tool will keep working.
